"Unique Athletes"

The WAG Unique Athletic Program is a sports program designed to serve athletes (ages 7 - adult) with development challenges resulting from birth or other circumstances and who reside in the State of Texas. WAG Unique Athletes are children and adults that are overlooked by many areas of society. They may not be adequately prepared by the schools for post high school life and their parents/guardians will find a bewildering amount of bureaucratic information. WAG can not solve many of the issues facing the young adults and their families but providing more competitive athletic activities and associated social opportunities can help foster greater independence and self advocacy; better preparing them for the aspects of the competitive world.

WAG Unique Athletes are encouraged to exceed the societal athletic expectations and while doing so, interact and form last friendships with other athletes.

The vision of the WAG Unique Athletes program is for the athletes to successfully transfer their WAG knowledge and experience to other areas of their life.
